I worked with Nicki for almost one academic year for help with my English Literature A-Level, which I completed as a private candidate without any additional support. I think that she is an excellent teacher; her expertise in and love of literature shone through in all our lessons. I really enjoyed them, as they always helped me look at texts in a deeper way from many different perspectives. Her help in developing my essays was extremely valuable and helped me achieve an A* in my mock exam. Overall, I think Nicki is a wonderful, skilled tutor, and I’m very grateful for her support. Nicki taught my son English - he took his GCSE 2 years ago. He went from Grade 3 to Grade 7 in English Language and received an award for the most improved in his year from the English department! Needless to say when my daughter was in need of help we asked Nicki again – my daughter's school tests and mocks have been consistently improving. She's gained confidence and I've no doubt that all of this is due to Nicki, I fully expect my daughter to do well in her GCSE too. Nicola was an excellent tutor and gave me much greater confidence in my language ability.
