Hi! I'm Will, a private academic tutor, mentor, and writing coach with over eight years experience in higher education. I am channelling my university-level teaching expertise into high-impact private mentoring, bringing the same standards, grading insights, and research methodologies used at Russell Group universities directly to my students. I would be delighted to assist with your tutoring needs, so please message me to discuss your requirements.
I received my PhD from the University of Birmingham's Shakespeare Institute in 2021, and have previously held teaching and research positions at the universities of Birmingham, Warwick, and Nottingham. My work has been published in numerous academic journals, and I have recently published two books with Routledge: the first, an essay collection on which I served as lead editor, was published in 2024, with my first solo-authored book (on the Jacobean dramatist Thomas Middleton and the Thirty Years War) following in 2026.
Alongside my university work, I am an active public historian, and am the resident historian at Shakespeare's Schoolroom & Guildhall in Stratford-upon-Avon, for whom I recently curated a new exhibition on the forgotten regional theatres of Shakespeare's England. I work closely with partner museums, appear on podcasts and at theatre history events, and have written for publications including ๐ป๐๐ ๐ก๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐๐๐๐ฆ.
