I am a highly dedicated and enthusiastic maths teacher and private tutor. My higher education qualifications include a first class honours degree together with 4 years experience within Pure Mathematics academic research, helping to make some exciting discoveries in the field of Number Theory. Additionally, I have a Masters Degree in Education, specialising in the teaching and learning of Mathematics and a Post Graduate Certificate in Subject Learning Coaching for Mathematics which enables me to facilitate other teachers who wish to improve their own classroom practice. Many of my current (and previous) clients have been drawn from the education sector including Teachers, Senior Managers, School Inspectors and University Professors.

My teaching experience, over the last 20+ years, has been largely gained through classroom based small group teaching and one to one tuition.

I love Mathematics and hope to enable others to learn how to love it too! Striving for conceptual understanding is always my aim and I have an infinite amount of patience to enable you to have time to develop your skills at your own pace. My own belief is that Mathematics should not be approached as if it were merely a collection of unrelated facts, rules and skills - much too boring, and a huge injustice to such a noble subject! My aim is to help students to gain confidence in order to explore, discuss and finally take ownership of their mathematical understanding. I believe that long term success through solid understanding is of the highest value to my students.
