Tutoring Approach

I combine personalised one to one interaction with tailored, exam board specific techniques to build confidence. My tutoring approach is diagnosis of current knowledge levels, creating a smart plan and focus heaving on exam techniques. I start by identifying strengths, weaknesses and specific exam boards and set clear goals. I can adapt to student’s pace spending more time on difficult topics and skipping over mastered concepts. My priority is working through past exam papers to teach students how to structure answers to maximise marks. I utilise interactive tools (whiteboards, diagrams) rather than lecturing to cater to visual learners. I set relevant, focused homework to consolidate learning, ensuring ‘frequency of exposure’ to challenging topics.

Sarwat is a fantastic tutor. Within only a few sessions my daughters knowledge and confidence in chemistry has improved. Sarwat is very organised sending through work in advance of the sessions to allow preparation. The link to join is always sent in advance and Sarwat is ready for a prompt start. Her organisation and communication skills are super, always replying straight away to messages. I would definitely recommend. 10/10!

Sarwat is an excellent tutor, who really helped me study for my biochemistry exam. I have a very shaky foundation in chemistry, and had a lot of struggle understanding the content of my course, but she reassured me it wasn't that difficult, and taught me the information in a way that made a lot more sense. She was also proactive in providing me with reading material she thought would be useful, which proved to be helpful.
