Hi! My name is Nageen, and I'm a dedicated tutor with a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.

I achieved all Grade 9s at GCSE, and went on to earn excellent A-level results in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and English. I attended a grammar school throughout both my GCSE and A-level education, where I developed strong study techniques and a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in competitive academic environments.

I am currently studying Biomedical Science at university, with the goal of pursuing medicine and becoming a paediatrician. Alongside my studies, I have worked as a teaching assistant in a special educational needs (SEN) school, giving me valuable experience adapting lessons to suit different learning styles and supporting students with a range of educational needs.

I have been tutoring since I was 16 years old, helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and achieve higher grades. My teaching style is patient, engaging, and tailored to each student's individual needs. I focus not only on understanding the content but also on developing effective revision strategies, exam techniques, and confidence.

As a native speaker of English, Farsi, and Dari, I can communicate effectively with students and families from diverse backgrounds.

Alongside my tutoring, I have gained valuable teaching experience working as a Teaching Assistant at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. Working in an SEN environment has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to suit each student's unique way of learning. I understand that every learner progresses at their own pace, so I use patience, encouragement, and clear explanations to help students overcome challenges and develop confidence in their abilities.

My responsibilities include providing one-to-one support, assisting in small group lessons, reinforcing key concepts taught by the class teacher, and helping students develop both their academic skills and independence. This experience has enhanced my communication, behaviour management, and problem-solving skills, enabling me to create a supportive and positive learning environment.

Through both my professional teaching experience and private tutoring, I have developed a student-centred approach that focuses on understanding, confidence, and long-term academic success rather than simply memorising content.

To support learning outside of our sessions, I create and use my own high-quality teaching resources, including revision materials, practice questions, and tailored worksheets designed to reinforce the topics covered. After every lesson, I provide personalised homework to help students consolidate their understanding and build confidence through independent practice.

I also believe that communication with parents is an important part of a student's success. After each lesson, I provide detailed feedback outlining what we covered, the progress made, areas that may need further attention, and the homework set. This keeps parents informed and allows us to work together to support the student's learning journey.
