I am an Oxford University educated Chemistry and Biology teacher of 30 years' standing, currently living near Ludlow, Shropshire, UK.

I specialise in the teaching of Chemistry at post-16 level including entrance to universities in the UK but also teach at GCSE and IGCSE level.

I have taught Chemistry and Biology in some leading state secondary and top independent senior schools in Cambridge and London. I have left the classroom and now focus entirely on private tutoring. I have worked with students from across the world including Europe, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, India, Nigeria and Brazil as well as the UK.

My primary expertise is with students seeking to improve their performance at Scholarship, GCSE, A-Level and IB. My tutees have achieved higher grades thanks to my intervention and have gone on to enjoy much success in their chosen areas of study.

I have a detailed knowledge of all current GCSE, IGCSE, A level and IAL specifications and have written many resources for educational publishing companies as well as exam style questions at all levels and for all specifications.

With tutoring slots often available throughout the daytime (UK time), into the early evening and on Saturdays, I can generally be quite flexible and fit in with your requirements.

I can work on a one-to-one, group or online basis and specialise in delivering a friendly, collaborative approach to learning - improving confidence with exam technique as well as increasing subject knowledge.

All lessons are planned for individual students based on their specific needs and using current exam specification and exam questions. Planning and preparation is included in the fee.
