My name is Michael and I hold a Masters in Chemistry with Biochemistry from Heriot Watt University and PhD in Organic Chemistry from Glasgow University.

Teaching and mentoring is a real passion of mine, and I have been tutoring all levels of chemistry for >10 years.

I have a strong track record of helping students pass exams and help understand the fundamentals of chemistry.

I specialise in organic chemistry, and can help you tackle synthesis, mechanisms, NMR and other analytical techniques.

Offering tuition to the Cumbernauld area, as well as online via Zoom/Teams. Group tuition available depending on size of group.

I have been formally tutoring for 13 years, as well as mentoring colleagues and students by giving lecturers on specialised topics

My teaching philosophy is on understanding fundamentals - once a solid foundation is built, we can start to have fun and explore cool ideas and challenging problems that can make chemistry rewarding
