Hi, I’m Li-Norah, a maths graduate with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping students reach their potential.

Academically, I have a stellar track record, with 11 grade 9s at GCSE, 4 A*s at A-Level, and a degree in Mathematics from the a top university in the United States. Having worked through highly competitive academic environments myself, I understand both the challenges students face and what it takes to succeed.

I tutor a range of subjects including Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics, up to GCSE level. I enjoy working with students of different ages and abilities, helping them not only improve academically but also become more confident and independent learners.

I am based near Caterham offer both in-person and online tutoring. I also hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, providing reassurance for both students and parents.

I have 7 years of experience helping students across a range of academic levels to prepare for exams, working through past paper questions, identifying weak areas, and building strong exam technique alongside subject understanding.

I particularly enjoy helping students who may initially lack confidence in their abilities and supporting them as they begin to see real progress over time.

My approach to tutoring is centred around building understanding and confidence rather than simply memorising methods.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to each individual’s needs, pace, and learning style. I focus first on making sure students fully understand the underlying concepts before moving on to problem-solving practice and exam-style questions.

In mathematics and science subjects especially, I encourage students to actively work through problems themselves while I guide their thinking and help them develop strong logical reasoning skills. I also place significant emphasis on building confidence, as I believe many students perform far better once they begin trusting their own abilities.
