I hold a 1st class degree in pharmaceutical sciences and a qualified teacher's status since 2006. I am currently a full-time chemistry teacher in a comprehensive school. I am the lead chemist for my department and also is part of the quality of teaching team at my school. As a qualified science teacher and parent, I believe hard work is rewarding and the understanding of a subject in great detail makes all the difference on exam day.
I have been teaching KS3-KS4 science and chemistry up to A level for the past 17 years in three different schools. I have a good exam success track record. I enjoy teaching science and one of my biggest strengths is my ability to explain the subject matter and making sure my students understand the science, with a better understanding of the content, students are able to apply their knowledge to the exam questions, I always make sure students are taught the correct scientific key terms and how important they are to answering exam questions correctly. These are now more important as the exams become more challenging for students and pupils.
