Hi, I'm Olly, a Degree Apprentice at J.P. Morgan and experienced Tutor/Early Careers Development mentor.

I offer tutoring in Business Studies and Geography at GCSE and A-Level. I am passionate about helping students build subject knowledge, improve exam technique, and gain confidence in tackling assessments. My lessons are tailored to each student, whether they need support understanding difficult topics, improving coursework, or preparing for exams.

Alongside academic tutoring, I provide professional career mentoring to help students stand out when applying for apprenticeships, university courses, internships, and part-time jobs. This includes CV and LinkedIn support, interview preparation, commercial awareness coaching, application guidance, and workplace skills development.

Having successfully secured a competitive apprenticeship at J.P. Morgan while studying A-Levels, I understand what employers and universities look for and can provide practical, real-world advice to help students achieve their ambitions.

My approach is centred on helping students understand the purpose behind what they are learning, rather than simply memorising content for an exam. I use a "classroom-to-career" model, linking topics in Business and Geography to real organisations, current events, and workplace situations so that students can see the practical value of the material. I have found that students are more engaged and retain information better when they understand how it applies beyond the specification.

Alongside academic progress, I focus on developing transferable skills such as critical thinking, communication, problem solving, presentation skills, and commercial awareness. Drawing on my experience as a Degree Apprentice at J.P. Morgan, I regularly incorporate real examples from industry to help students build confidence discussing ideas, analysing information, and forming evidence-based arguments. My goal is not only to improve grades but to ensure students leave with skills and confidence that will benefit them at university, in apprenticeships, and throughout their careers.
