Hi, I'm Kate. I'm a fully qualified teacher and tutor with over 16 years of experience teaching GCSE Science and A Level Chemistry to students of a range of abilities. My students go on to do great things at University, including Medicine, Dentistry, Science and Engineering. I am friendly and well organised, offering my students the best experience to improve their knowledge and understanding. My lessons are very interactive and well resourced; learning materials/ exam questions and mark schemes are provided for each lesson. I have an enhanced DBS certificate and offer the first lesson at 50% off.

I am a secondary school teacher specialising in A level and GCSE Chemistry classes for 3 days of the week, and a private tutor in the evenings and weekends. I have taught in 3 different schools over 16 years, gaining extensive experience in A Level Chemistry. This has led to a strong record of excellent exam results, with my students achieving higher grades on average than other students nationally. I explain concepts very clearly to students, and know every exam trick to help them achieve maximum potential in their exams. I offer tuition for the following exam boards: AQA, OCR A, and Edexcel.

Lessons are interactive and very student focussed, building on what the student knows, with constant feedback to learn and improve throughout the lesson. I offer a tailored approach to the explanation of difficult concepts, and spend time going through past paper questions and mark schemes with an emphasis on exam technique. All lessons are fun and interactive with plenty of quizzes and questions. I keep an accurate learning record for my students to ensure that we make the best use of every lesson. Being a teacher, I mark hundreds of mock papers each year and I'm kept up to date with the latest training from exam boards. It also means I have access to the best teaching and exam materials.
