Experience covering SQA and GCE examination boards assessment and curricula. Was trainer at college where I obtained my Assessors Certificate in Electronics Engineering. Have provided tuition in National 4/5 through to Advanced Higher, as well as GCSE/iGCSE, A-Level, IB. Also tutored mature students and undergraduate level University and Colleges.

I am doing an undergraduate maths degree and Tom has been very helpful throughout the process of getting on track with all topics of both my courses. Tom is patient and ensured I understood what he explained before moving on and it didn't feel like a pressured environment at all, we had a few laughs. Tom is also fantastic with communication regarding timings of sessions and he always made time to see. It has been an absolute pleasure to have Tom as my tutor . He was able to help me get a solid understanding of many topics in a very short space of time. Amilie is sitting finals in her University Undergrad Maths Exam at a major University here in UK. Specifically Calculus and Proofs which is quite an intense course. Mr was punctual and well prepared for each lesson. We were given pass papers and answers through email which was helpful and links to other websites for help. Mr was friendly and caring, connecting with my son at his level (16) and bringing him on considerably in his learning within a very short space of time. The help Mr provided was invaluable and he often spent a little longer if he had the time which really showed an above average service. He was available if my son had any questions through email and genuinely cared about how my son would perform in the exam. I am glad I contacted First Tutors and with two other children pre exam age, I may be in touch again in the future.
