I am a friendly and supportive tutor with a background in Psychology and several years of experience working with children and young people in both primary and secondary education. I currently work as a SEND Teacher within a SEND department, supporting students with a range of learning needs. I am passionate about helping young people build confidence, develop their skills and feel more positive about learning.

Alongside my experience in education, my academic background means I am also able to tutor Psychology at A-Level, supporting students with understanding key theories, research methods, applying psychological concepts and preparing for assessments and exams.

I have over five years of experience working with children and young people in both primary and secondary education. In my current role as a SEND Teacher, I support students with a particular focus on literacy, reading and maths. I have experience delivering individual and small-group interventions, including literacy programmes, emotional literacy and autism-focused interventions. I also have experience using assessment to identify areas of need (in particular learning needs such as Dyslexia) and adapting teaching accordingly.

I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, supported and involved in their learning. I break tasks into manageable steps, use clear explanations and regularly check understanding.
