Hi! I'm Hugues, a professional flute player and teacher. Outside of my teaching work, I play regularly around the UK with groups such as the Halle Orchestra, Opera North, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and the Royal Opera House.

I've been teaching the flute for more than 10 years to students of many ages and levels.

I am currently employed at a music organisation in Yorkshire where I teach school-aged students from complete beginners through to advanced grades, and I combine this with teaching private students, many of whom are adults returning to the flute.

I tailor my approach to the needs of each student. Lessons are structured to provide a rounded learning experience, covering warmups and technical elements as well as time developing a musical understanding of the pieces played.
