Josie is an excellent tutor, really lovely and bubbly but also incredibly gifted with her knowledge and profound insight for teaching Maths. My daughter has only just started learning with Josie but has already gone from slightly behind the high achievers in her class to outsmarting all of them with her growing confidence and rapid progression, this is all entirely due to Josie's tutoring. I cannot fault her, she is amazing and I am really, so very glad that we found her.

Josie is tutoring my non-native English speaker daughter (second grade), who is struggling with writing in English (phonetics). I highly recommend Josie. Josie is excellent, my 3 children have improved so much since she has been their tutor in year 11. My 2 daughters were not confident in maths and she has given them confidence. She is friendly and clear and importantly they can access her teaching method. I am confident that my son will get a higher grade than predicted now too. Very happy!

Josie has proved a wonderful find and I can't recommend her highly enough. She has tutored my 16 year old daughter on-line through from mid-way through Year 10 right up to GCSEs, initially for Maths only and latterly for some targeted intervention on specific parts of the English CGSE curriculum. She has proved very effective, and has also been warm, engaging and kind, which has really helped the learning process. We have actually recommended her to one of my daughter's friends and I know she and her family have also been very happy. My daughter was in Set 4 for Maths and was running at a GCSE prediction of 5/6. Since then she has steadily gained in confidence and ability, with Josie's support, and started performing really well in both her homework and assessments. She has ended up easily top of her set and on many tests was doing as well as Sets 1 and 2. We are of course waiting for results (fingers crossed), but her final prediction from the school was a Grade 8 and we hope that she should at least obtain a 7. She did I think have some innate mathematical ability, but Josie has given her the input and confidence to really unlock this to the stage where she has started enjoying the subject much more (although not to the point of wanting to do A Level, which at one point the school was suggesting!!). On English Josie gave some targeted support for the Shakespeare text and on Poetry. On the latter my daughter had a real blank spot to the point where she was giving good/reasonable responses in mocks and assessments on all other areas of English but was leaving Poetry questions completely blank. A few weeks before the exams Josie and I both did some targeted work with her on Poetry, with me running through the basics (Let's just at least read and have a chat about them!) and Josie doing the much more in-depth and focused work. This proved really effective and my daughter ended up being very happy with how this part of the paper went, commenting that by the end she actually quite enjoyed the Poetry piece and that 'Josie had made them really interesting'. Again I think Josie was able to build her confidence and break down some initial barriers. We have been very happy indeed with Josie's support and it has also been very helpful to have someone who can tutor in both Maths and English.

My son tells me that Josie immediately established a rapport and also that he is enjoying his online sessions with her.

Josie is a patient and thorough tutor and helped my daughter from really struggling with maths to get a 7 at GCSE level. A really remarkable outcome given where we were.

Josie has been tutoring me in GCSE Mathematics for the past year. During this time she has demonstrated patience and understanding and proven skilled at explaining concepts to a neuro-atypical student. She is adept at identifying different ways to look at problems until she finds one that makes sense. Josie is adept with multiple modes of learning, including personal tutoring as well as online and over the telephone. She has been flexible in scheduling sessions, able to accommodate my own sometimes erratic schedule. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Josie as a tutor to any age group.

Josie is a really great tutor. She understands the new GCSEs and knows how to support students who are about to take them. Josie is interactive, responsive, well prepared, reliable and very good with students. She helped my Y11 son with both his English Literature and English Language GCSEs. Josie understood how my son worked and his thinking processes. She was then able to help him 'translate' his ideas and thinking into strong exam answers. She was particularly good at helping him with exam technique.

Josie was helpig my son with english in last academic year. The lessons was always interesting and she motivated my son to hard work using his natural interests. She boosted my English skills super high ,I was set 3 at the beginning now I’m in set 1 which is amazing.My English teacher was wondering how I got so good at English .He was surprised when I volunteered to read.Josie also helped me a lot by using something like the Harry Potter series and asking me questions in-between the pages, and I also had to analyse the book which was an amazing idea! (which encouraged me to read more and when I didn’t understand a word I would search it up and would after use it in English tests) The good thing that I noticed as well is that some tutors or teachers are quite dull or sad looking but not Josie. She always came with a giant smile stuck on her face which made the atmosphere better to work in and made me smile as well SZYMON
