I am an experienced teacher and tutor with over 25 years’ experience working with children and young people of different ages and abilities. I provide supportive, personalised tuition that helps learners build confidence, develop their skills and achieve their individual goals. I believe that every child learns differently, and I take time to understand each learner as an individual so that lessons are engaging, encouraging and suited to their needs.

I have worked in education for over 25 years as a teacher, supply teacher and tutor. I have taught and supported children from early years through to secondary age, covering a wide range of subjects and abilities. My experience includes helping children develop confidence, improve gaps in learning, prepare for assessments and make progress at their own pace. Throughout my teaching career I have adapted my approach to suit different learning styles, personalities and starting points.

I begin by understanding each learner’s current skills, confidence and goals, then tailor lessons to help them make progress. I use a variety of approaches including explanation, discussion, modelling and practical activities to make learning clear, enjoyable and achievable.
